A Fond Farewell to a Plumbing Professional
Fox Plumbing & Heating Wishes a Fond Farewell to a Wonderful Plumber
The holidays are always a fun and festive time at Fox Plumbing & Heating. With one of the best year’s to-date, we’re all gearing up for time with our families, decorating trees, lawn ornaments and sitting around the fireplace. But this year is also very special because today we had to say farewell to a member of the Fox Plumbing & Heating family. Doug Carroll’s last day as a Fox Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Professional was Friday. He will be taking a position at Seattle University as a maintenance technician, and he will be sorely missed as a leading member of the Fox Family. He wanted to finish his College Education and complete his undergraduate degree for several years. Seattle University has an amazing program where their employees get their classes paid for by the school. Nobody could blame Doug for wanting to follow his dreams and maybe, one day, teach.
Doug has been a part of the Fox Plumbing & Heating Family for just under three years. He moved here from Hawaii where he worked for the TSA for several years. Before that he owned his own plumbing company in Oregon. And we couldn’t have been luckier than when Doug became part of the Fox Crew. He has been an instrumental part of the growth of Fox Plumbing & Heating, as well as a cornerstone for providing award-winning customer service. Savannah F., Dispatcher at Fox, said, “He has always been willing to go out and meet customers with a smile, even when we ask him to go out at 6pm for an emergency call.” It’s this type of commitment that Doug brought every day to Fox Plumbing & Heating. And that commitment helped ensure that Fox Plumbing & Heating is #1 in customer service for Seattle and King County.
Doug has been more than just a plumbing professional at Fox. He was also a leader to the younger members of our crew, and he was a teacher to his colleagues. He has been leading ongoing professional training for the past several years at Fox. Once a week, Doug took his own professional time to teach and train other plumbing professionals with instances from his own professional experiences. He helped develop programs that have helped our plumbing professionals be able to educate and assist our neighbors friends and customers. “Doug’s training has been a major factor in helping Fox Plumbing & Heating to continue to grow and be an industry leader,” said Chad Lindly , Owner and President of Fox Plumbing & Heating. His leadership has also been key in our transition to cutting edge technology for our friends, neighbors and customers.
In 2014, Fox Plumbing & Heating continued to focus on creating award winning customer service by incorporating iPads into our technicians’ service structure. Doug helped to head-up and test iPads in the field. Adopting iPads has helped Fox Plumbing & Heating cut overhead costs, give more accurate estimates and provide quicker service to people in need of plumbing & heating services. Chad L., Service Manager at Fox, said, “Doug made getting this project rolled out much easier and quicker, he’s always willing to help and provide the necessary feedback to help Fox move forward.”
All of us here at Fox Plumbing & Heating wish Doug good luck with his future plans, and we look forward to all of his future success at Seattle University. We wish him and everyone else Happy Holidays, and look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve Seattle and King County in 2015.
